  1. Floating Command Line for Windows 95/98/NT4
  2.  
  3. This free utility is a floating command line that is always on top,
  4. and can be moved around the screen.
  5.  
  6. To run, select FloatingCommandLine from your Start Menu.
  7.  
  8. If you would like the program to run automatically when Windows starts,
  9. place a shortcut in your Startup folder.
  10.  
  11. Now, when ever you want to enter a quick DOS command, simply type it in
  12. and press 'Enter'. 'Esc' will clear the text.
  13.  
  14. TIP: After the command has run, the output window will close.
  15.  
  16.      If you want the window to stay open so that you can see any messages,
  17.      preceed the command line with a ' (single quote) e.g. 'dir
  18.  
  19.      If you want to run a command that begins with a single quote, use two,
  20.      e.g. to run a command called 'myfile.exe, use ''myfile.exe. 
  21.  
  22. This program is freeware. It may be used and distributed freely, as long
  23. as it is only distributed in it's origional compressed form.
  24. However, I retain the copyright.

  26. To remove it, use Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel.

  28. Note: This program requires the VB5 run-times to run. It is not included
  29. as it is a large file (1.3MB). If you have Windows 98, then you already
  30. have it. If you do not already have it, download it from
  31. http://support.microsoft.com/download/support/mslfiles/Msvbvm50.exe
  32. and put it in "C:\Windows\System".
